We had an incredibly low-key Easter this year. The Easter Bunny filled the kids' buckets with lots of special gifts - Riley got a lot of watermelon themed items and Leighton got several Yankees things. The Easter Bunny also left the kids 78 eggs each that they hunted for (they left him a note requesting they be more tricky to find this year, so it actually took them a while to find them, even though this apartment seems so small with how big they are!). We relaxed, the kids ate a lot of chocolate, Roy and I drank a bottle of champagne, and I made Leighton's favorite 'chicky' deviled eggs for lunch. I changed things up and did a roast with mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding for dinner instead of ham and scalloped potatoes. I made a carrot cake cheesecake for dessert, and even Riley loved it! I had made it 4 years ago and remembered it was really good. A perfect, relaxing Sunday!
That Easter Bunny is very clever.
