Anyway, on Friday after school, I took the kids to Academy so they could pick out a shirt to wear on Sunday when we went to watch the game. I had seen there was some sort of photo op taking place as well, so I wasn't sure what it would be or if there would be a line, but when we got inside, there was nobody lined up to do it, so the kids walked right on. It was to make a GIF, which was sent to me in a text, but unfortunately I didn't realize it was time sensitive and I didn't download it in time to save it. Bummer. But the kids chose a shirt and had fun and even threw footballs outside to win a prize - Leighton got all three of his balls into the highest point value!
Saturday at soccer, we saw endless busses going to the Rice football stadium right next to the soccer fields. We knew the Falcons were practicing there, so assumed there was some sort of event going on. When we were leaving, we walked to the far parking lot where we park for far cheaper and got a peek into the stadium where there were a bunch of kids running on the field but no payers in sight. But, we were treated to seeing the team walking out to their busses on the back side of the stadium when we got to the car!! I had my camera with me from soccer so got some pictures of players and the owner, Arthur Blank ... until a police officer told me I wasn't allowed anymore! Oops! Leighton and I need to sit down and look at the pictures so we can try to identify the players.
We stopped at HEB and Leighton was excited to see yet another football related display in the store. And a Seahawks player in it, which makes everything 10x more exciting!
Sunday we packed up our guacamole and sugar cookies I always make for the Super Bowl Party, and the kids got their shirts on, and off we went. The weather was fantastic so we were outside, which is always great for the kids to play.

On Monday, there was a ceremony at the school for an award they had won, and Anquan Boldin was speaking. I got there in time to grab Leighton to take a picture with him.
