2 months full of outings

Usually Roy and I go months without any social outings and a need for a babysitter.  Recently, we've had all sorts of reasons to dress up and head out.  And not just the two of us, but also with the kids, too.

One weekend we went to an event that was a pre-Auction social for the school.  Roy and Eric and Jonathan all ended up there matching in a black shirt and jeans.  It was pretty funny!

The next weekend was Monica's birthday.  I made 4 different desserts for the party.

Riley had a sleepover for Annabelle's birthday the following night.

One of Roy's students defended his thesis and we went out to celebrate at a board game cafe.

Leighton and I had a date at the mother-son dance at school.

We went to Astros FanFest again this year.

Roy and I went for dinner with Scott and Dana, but I didn't get any pictures that night!

For my Super Bowl 'food' cookies this year, I made burgers!  I also tried a new way to make pizza and watermelon.  And I did a few football cookies, as well.  I am SO tired of the Patriots being in the Super Bowl and didn't have much motivation for many football-themed cookies this year!  I did make some 'cookie sticks' though, and I've been wanting to try those for a long time.

Roy and I went to the school's annual Auction.  It was a fiesta theme this year.

There was an early dismissal day recently, and it was finally a nice day (it's been a lot of gloomy, chilly days the last few months).  A lot of us met up at the playground for a couple of fun hours for the kids to play.

Riley had a play date with her friend Wren.
