I can't believe it's April 11th already! March just kind of came and went, and since we were at home for most of it, the time passed relatively quickly. And the same is happening to the month of April!
Here's how we've been passing the time the past few weeks ... I'm trying to take pictures of as much as I can to try to remember what we were up to because it's easy to just think that we do nothing new or different or exciting with all our days relaxing and/or working/schooling from home.
I continue to go for my daily walks. This is a really pretty route I take on the days when I want a more quiet walk (some days I opt for the busy streets and like the noise!). A few weeks ago, this route was always pretty empty, but it's gotten busier lately. There is very little traffic, though with the divided road, sidewalks, and the center pathway, there is a lot of room to move where nobody else is.
I made some blueberry muffins. I used to love these muffins from a little sandwich shop where I grew up, and this is the first time I've made the recipe. They were really great! I left some plain without blueberries for Riley!
I did some Perler beads with Riley.
And she had her first zoom meeting with her class the week before online school officially started.
We played some Yahtzee.
And went for a walk.
Riley was working on holding a plank.
And she drew some cute animals she found online.
I saw the idea to do some taped off sections with sidewalk chalk at a house down the street. Theirs was about 3 feet by 3 feet. Riley and I did the whole section outside our garage and front door! It used A LOT of chalk!
I saw a tree with beautiful purple flowers that I thought Riley would like, so we walked back to it. We took many, many, many photos of her in front of the tree!
I tried to get Leighton to be in a photo to prove he exists. This was as good as I could get!
Roy and I opened a bottle of champagne so he could record a little happy birthday message for a friend's 50th.
I took Riley for a scooter one afternoon for a break from her school work.
And then some skipping and playing catch in the driveway happened later.
We made some rice krispie squares.
And another walk with some cartwheels.
I baked the coconut bread we really like. I hadn't made it in a long time. It's best sliced, toasted, and buttered!
The rain came and washed away our taped off chalk art. Here's a photo I took of Riley through the window before it was all washed away.
She and I went for a walk in the rain after she exchanged for a larger umbrella!!
And Riley helped me make some monkey bread.
Riley worked on a little project outside.
A new skirt we ordered her arrived in the mail. She was excited to wear it (after I washed away any potential coronavirus first!).
Leighton asked me to make the pumpkin cream cheese muffins he likes.
The kids challenged themselves to a wall sit. Riley stayed 1 minute and Leighton stayed 2!
Leighton had an assignment to make a nature design inspired by an artist (whose name I do not remember!) and photograph it.
We had a fun Zoom call with Grandma and Papa and Auntie Hannah.
And I helped Leighton with a color wheel photo he needed to create for his Art class.
Riley played with her Barbies and shared a snack!
And now we can get ready for the Easter Bunny to come overnight!

I love Riley's animal pictures and the sidewalk art. Glad to hear you are doing well.
