In other exercise news, I have finally gotten myself back to the gym this week. It is pretty exciting! Not usually what one says about peeling themselves off the couch and trading in the PJ pants for workout gear, however, it means that Riley is finally sleeping independently enough for me to leave the house in the evenings (last week I even went out for dinner with some friends!), and that is pretty big news around here! And you know what else is exciting about it? The workout clothing itself. Really! The shoes and clothes are so much more fun and fashionable than they used to be. I just may have gone on a little shopping spree and purchased some fun, colorful things! Here are a few ...
Lots has changed in the seven years since I've been at the gym. Back then, iPods were still relatively new on the scene and you couldn't buy Lululemon in the US. So basically, I haven't done this since the dinosaur ages. But some things never change (Ah! There's that saying again!) ... I'm still out of shape. At least I make it look good with the new clothes though :)
Good for you to get back in the gym and good for Riley to be accommodating. Now you can go to cake decorating in the evenings, but that would be counterproductive to the gym outings.
ReplyDeleteYou should have been in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago. Lululemon had a HUGE warehouse sale. People lined up overnight. I had to explain to Dad what Lululemon is when we saw it on the news.
And that little polka dot bum is pretty darn cute.
The cake decorating starts too early (during dinner/bath time), if I recall correctly. I think it will still have to be on the weekends.
