Uncle Clyde and Melinda come to visit again!

We were lucky enough to have another visit with Clyde and Melinda recently.  Unfortunately it was a short one (and Leighton has already requested they stay MUCH longer next time), but it was still so nice to have them back here again.

Riley helped me with some grocery shopping before they arrived (3 grocery stores in one day!), and when we got home, it was so rainy so my little helper took all the groceries from me at the door and took them to the kitchen.  She was SO pleased with herself when I finally came inside to see her hard work of all her groceries lined up.

The weather was mostly cold and miserable (and now, of course, this week in amazingly beautiful!), so we were inside playing most of the time.

But we did have a couple fun outings as well.  We went to Leighton's basketball game on Saturday and then went with his team to a University of Houston game on Sunday.  The kids from the team (and siblings brave enough to go with them … not Riley!) got to go onto the court as the Cougars were coming on the court and gave them all high fives.  It was super cute (impossible for me to really capture on my camera, unfortunately).  The kids were REALLY into the game and did some serious cheering.  And eating of popcorn and pretzels!
