Double-double

I'll have a double-double, please.  And, no, I don't mean a coffee (I don't drink coffee, remember!).  Now, this is when many of you non-Canadian coffee drinkers get confused … but here's an explanation for you!.  BUT - in our world, a double-double is when you have a day with TWO birthday parties and each of the parties is for TWO people.  (And it might also mean that for both lunch and dinner the kids will have pizza and cake and I won't have to meal plan that day!)

At the end of February, we had an almost double-double.  I guess that would make it a single-double?!?!  Well, actually it was a double-single.  The party in the morning was for Harper (3) and Darcy (1).  It was at Wonderwild and the kids had a super fun time, as usual!

Then in the late afternoon/early evening, we were at Mykai's 3rd birthday at Gymboree.  It was fun to spend time with him and his family because we don't see them very often now that Leighton and Mylen are in different schools.

In March, we had first TRUE double-double.  We had the party for Zayne (5) and Soraya (3) in the morning.  Like last year, we partied outside at their house with good food and a piñata!

And in the late afternoon/early evening we celebrated Merlyn and Rozzie's 3rd birthday with them at Pump It Up!

And when we got home, the kids had fun blowing bubbles that they received in their goodie bags.  Until Riley's spilled.  At that was the end of the fun double-double day for Riley!

Our next birthday party was just a a single :)  Maeve celebrated her 2nd birthday and we were there to sing and dance and clap and snack with her!
