The reason behind the avocado pictures

I promised I would come back to those two pictures of the kids 'driving' the van and picking up avocados at the Children's Museum.  You didn't even need to remind me!

Those pictures were taken in a section of the museum that has a rotating theme about once a year.  It is always a different country highlighted and the kids can experience different aspects of daily life in that country.  When we came to visit Houston in 2011, the country was Mexico.  And I took this picture of Leighton.

4 years later, when I saw that that van again and the same set up with the avocados, I got so excited and made each kid pose for this picture and promised to show them why when we got home!

While I was searching for the old avocado picture, Roy and I had fun looking back at how the kids have changed during their 4 years visiting the Children's Museum in June.  Here is a little trip down memory lane of their June visits in years past :)

June 2015 … we didn't go :(  Had I known we'd been there every year in June I would have tried to continue the tradition this year!!

  1. It's so much fun to see the changes over the years. Leighton was such a little boy in 2011, and Riley was barely out of babyhood. They have grown so much, but it's wonderful they still love the Children's Museum.
