It seems like the years keep going faster - I am not sure how it was already another Easter already! We had a really nice Easter weekend (weather AND activities!).
On Saturday, we went for an Easter egg hunt at the Dynamo and Dash stadium. As we got there, Roy said, "I wonder who we will run into that we know." And sure enough, a few minutes later we saw Sydney, Andrew and Ethan!
All that egg hunting made us hungry. And we were so close to Villa Arcos, so we had to go!
When we got home, Riley begged to take her new swimsuit to the pool for the inaugural swim of the season!
On Sunday, the kids woke up EARLY and EXCITED because the Easter Bunny had come and left some nice goodies in their Easter baskets and eggs all over the apartment! They hunted and found NINETY eggs each! Some eggs had chocolates and candies, but others had toys and money. Yes, money! I think the Easter Bunny should have done that when I was a kid! Leighton got a lot of the quarters that he needed for his collections.
In the afternoon, we had a little egg hunt with the Strattons. The past few years, we've had a big egg hunt at threat house with several other families, but since they flooded during Harvey and now live in the apartment complex with us, this is how we continued the tradition!
And then the 4 kids were keen to get in the pool! Easter in southern Texas is the best!
We were looking at some old Easter photos. Look at Leighton's first Easter!
And Riley's!
And this was three years ago when Leighton was in 1st grade like Riley is now!

That is a lot of eggs! Tell Leighton and Riley that my friend Shelley in Moose Jaw fooled her daughter who is Leighton's age by wrapping grapes in foil from chocolate eggs...somehow I think she probably saved the chocolate for her too.
