Our second stop was the Spoetzl Brewery.
We made a stop at Buc-ee's and then stopped in New Braunfels for the night. It was way too busy at the restaurant we had planned to eat at, so we found another one instead. It was also way too busy in the area to even go and wander the little area I had hoped to.
The next morning after breakfast we set off for San Antonio. We went to lunch at the restaurant we'd eaten at in November. Then we walked around a bit at the outdoor mall and then it was time to check into the hotel.
We went to the Tejas Rodeo for drinks, dinner, and the rodeo.
Sunday morning we checked out of hotel #2 and made our way to the Riverwalk to check into hotel #3 of the weekend! Grandma and Papa's room was ready early, so we dumped our bags and then went to walk the Riverwalk. The lines for the boats were WAY too long, so we decided on walking and drinking and making our way to the Alamo instead. The lines there were also way too long (hello, Holiday weekend!) so we just looked at everything outside and then got an Uber to the market for lunch.
We ate lunch so late that nobody was hungry for much dinner, so we just had drinks and snacks during the hotel happy hour.
After that, Grandma, Riley and I went for a walk on the Riverwalk again.
Monday morning, we had breakfast and then took Riley for a quick swim before checking out of the hotel.
And then it was time to hit the road home.
Looks like a fun trip. Really nice picture of Ellen and Jerry at the brewery.
