Playground season is back!

It's strange to drive by a playground on a beautiful summer day and see it completely deserted, but in Houston, it's usually just too hot to be in the beating hot sun on the playground equipment.  Playgrounds are spring, fall, and winter destinations here.  And even in late spring and early fall, they usually appear to be busiest in the evenings, once the sun is no longer directly overhead.

Lucky for me, a friend gave me a list of shady playgrounds (funny story: I was explaining this to a new friend I met at a playground last week and she thought I meant 'shady' as in 'sketchy' and couldn't figure out why I was trying to visit them all with my 2 kids!), so with the cooler (read: mid-upper 80s instead of 90s) temps we've been having, last week I decided it was time to get back into playground season.  We visited three new playgrounds and one old favorite.

and which was the favourite new one?

and your playground season is like our terrace season - i can't spend any time out there during the summer - way too hot - so happy to be back out there again.

    1. We liked the two we went to on Mon and Wed much better than the one on Sat. They were in a neighborhood I'd really love to live in, but for now we will just use the playgrounds!!
