Happy (American) Thanksgiving

We love Miss Missy and were sad (for us, but happy for her!) to hear she was leaving the library for a job closer to home.  We went for the Thanksgiving craft after school the week before Thanksgiving and had a chance to say goodbye!

Before the Thanksgiving break, Riley's class had a Thanksgiving lunch with songs and decorations (and costumes!).  We also went to Leighton's Thanksgiving lunch but didn't get a picture of us together like last year :(

The first night of the Thanksgiving break, we took the kids down to Discovery Green for a winter festival with ice sculptures and a new art installation of fun lights.  The kids had a blast on the spinning art installation, too!

On Thanksgiving Day, we were lucky enough to be invited to the Meyers.  It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time, and the kids had fun playing with their friends.  And Roy was thrilled that a deep fried turkey was part of the meal again like we were treated to last year!  The weather was really warm, so we spent some time outside after lunch and Leighton fell in the pool while catching a football!
