We started the two advent calendars that the kids have come to expect and enjoy! The first is that they open a little box in our Santa to find a fun holiday themed activity for the day, and the second is getting to unwrap a new book each night.
Little miss Riley has been channeling her inner 80s self a lot lately. I had to take a picture of this outfit, especially after she requested a side ponytail for her hair that day!
Bellaire Holiday in the Park
Roy was out of town, so the kids and I had dinner with the Bluhms and then went to the event with them. Parking was a bit crazy, so Jerry ended up parking my car, which meant I didn't organize myself very well and Riley stayed in her flip flops and Leighton didn't even have a hoodie! It was pretty funny looking at my two compared to the many kids dressed for full-on winter!
Tree Time! We went to pick out our tree and chose a little one this year so that it would be light enough for Roy to carry upstairs to the apartment!
The next day we decorated the tree. Riley ignored my suggestion to spread her ornaments out, so I did it when she was in bed!!
The kids have become somewhat obsessed with milk mustaches lately. Not sure where it came from!
I went with Leighton's class to the zoo for a field trip.
