Summer Vacation: Week 8

Monday
I had a couple errands to do at the Galleria, and the kids haven't been there to play yet this summer, so that was our big destination of the day!  After that it was a quick stop to return books at the library and for some groceries at Kroger.  In the afternoon, Lindsey and kids came by for a swim.  I didn't take any pictures of any of it!  I attempted some swimming videos of Riley but they weren't great.

Tuesday
It was story time Tuesday again!  We were at HEB and then Bellaire Library.  We were excited to see Douniazed and the kids at HEB.  It was our last Bellaire Library story time with Leighton, unfortunately, but Riley and I will be back in the fall!  We spent the afternoon at home just playing and relaxing and reading new library books.  And we talked to Grandma and Papa on the phone.  And, once again, no pictures!!

Wednesday
Our first stop of the day was Costco. The kids helped me grab some groceries, and then we had pizza, ice cream, and a smoothie for lunch.  Next we were off to the library for Tune Time.  I had hoped to go earlier in the summer, but that was when I was still attempting to put Riley down for naps.  Now that those are done, we are free for a 12:30 event.  We met up with Naomi and Hannah there and had a fun time.  I think it will be a really good activity to continue to attend with Riley during the school year because it has lots of singing songs with actions, which she loves about the Bellaire Library story time.  I didn't take any pictures, but Naomi sent me a couple she took on her phone.

Thursday
We spent the morning just playing and relaxing at home.  In the afternoon, we met up with John & Anna to collect some last minute items before they made their big move on Friday.  We said goodbye to John at his office and then Anna took us to Yogurtland for some deliciousness and accompanied us to the Fish Gallery for story time.  I was trying to remember to get some good photos of the kids with John & Anna, but Riley really wasn't cooperating and I kept getting distracted.  So, we ended up with pictures of Anna and the kids in front of a garbage can.  Lovely!

Friday
We hadn't been to the Y since the end of June, so I figured it was time for another swim there.  The kids were excited to be there and to go under the mushroom.  In the afternoon, Erin, Emilia, and Addie were here for a quick swim.

  1. Thank you Riley for wearing the cherry Grandma dress and the pretty turquoise Mommy dress.

    1. The cherry has been accepted into the regular rotation, I think!
