We were driving on the highway, and I slowed down because there was an SUV on the shoulder with a man working on his tire. Leighton said, "Are you allowed to do that?" so I asked him what he meant, and he clarified, "Are you allowed to pull over to the side of the road to tie your shoe?" I laughed so hard, and when I could breath I explained that the man was working on his tire and wasn't just on one knee to tie his shoe!

Sometimes Riley likes to ask questions she knows the answers to ... just to drive me insane! Today she asked, "How do you say the name of the store we are going to again?" So I told her it was Costco. The store we go to a billion times, and there is NO WAY the doesn't know the name! She follows up with, "Cock? We're going to cock?"

Today Leighton said, "I know the part of your brain that helps you remember your life. It's the hippopotamus part." Hippocampus, hippopotamus. Tomato, tom-ah-to!
March 8
We were leaving iHop and Leighton had gone into the men's washroom to quickly wash his hands. When he came out, he told me he doesn't understand how the best restaurant in the world could have the worst bathroom in the world. I then asked if he wanted to go to the bathroom before driving home. He said, "Poop? Not in that bathroom I don't." I guess it must be pretty gross in there!

We were in Dallas, and I was telling the kids that I had read about the pegasus being such a big thing there and pointed out a few. When we were walking back to the hotel after dinner, Riley excitedly pointed to a building and said, "LOOK! I see the reflection of the asparagus in that building!!!" For the rest of the trip we all joked about her calling the pegasus asparagus!

In the car on the way home from Austin, Leighton ate almost an entire bag of baby carrots. When he finally said he was done and passed me the bag, Riley asked, "Whoa? Leighton are you orange?"

When we got home from our trip, Riley was talking to Roy and said something about her expecting up to go just to plain Texas and not all the towns we stopped in!
March 20
We were playing an animal alphabet game, and for 'u' Leighton offered up 'underdog'!
