Leighton was working on a project in class about Da Vinci. Luckily for us, there was an exhibit about the inventions of Da Vinci at the George Bush Presidential Library in College Station. We drove up one Saturday morning in December to see the exhibit and the library. We had been to the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock on Spring Break 2 years ago, so it was nice to see another of these libraries. It was incredibly well done. It was shortly after he had passed away, so it was very busy and we we were able to sign the large books of tributes they had available at the time. The Da Vinci exhibit was great for us all to see, and the kids really liked that you could touch everything.
Here is Leighton giving his presentation in class:
And Riley had a project on Claude Monet on the same day! Fun that she had seen some real ones at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris!
The library and exhibit look fabulous. I'd love to see/hear Leighton's presentation... do you have any video? Also, again, Riley is adorable in her glasses!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any video, actually. It was long so I didn't even attempt to record it. Guess I should have!
