Take me out to the ballgame

A couple of weeks ago we went to another baseball game with the kids.  They had earned free tickets (each got one for them and one for a parent) through one of their summer reading programs.  The free tickets were for nosebleed seats, and we could have paid extra for better ones, but we were fine being where there were fewer people to bother!

Riley liked this player's pink glove!

Once again the kids sat so well and had a really great time!

We also went to the play area again.  The kids had lots of fun doing the running race, and this time Riley was brave enough to go into the play structure with Leighton.  He is SUCH a good big brother and took good care of her.  We made sure to tell him how proud we were of how he stayed with her and watched out for her up there.

One of the employees let us know that we could line up for the kids to run the bases after the game.  We would have done it, but you have to be 5, so we knew Riley would have been crushed if Leighton went and she couldn't.  They liked watching the other kids though and we promised to bring them to do it in 3 years!

We even spotted some friends from our seats (they had MUCH better ones, lol) and emailed back and forth but didn't meet up at the game - instead we met up for a swim and pizza dinner at their place after!
