The latest in the land of cakes and cookies

Since my last cake post, I've made some more cakes and cookies, so I thought I'd share.  I am working on getting a separate blog organized just for those, so stay tuned!!!

I made some cupcakes and a cake to donate to the calk walk at the Fall Carnival at Leighton's school from last year (will do some for his current school's cake walk this weekend!).  I went with a pumpkin patch theme:

Last weekend, Leighton's friend Joshua was having his birthday party and his mom mentioned she had some Star Wars and Angry Birds cake decorations she wanted to use on the cake but no cake yet.  I made the cake for her and placed the decorations on.  They were SO heavy and already on dowels, so I  had Roy help me with some adding some support under where they'd sit on the top and then rested the others on the cake board rather than trying to have them placed in other areas on the cake.  I was too worried they'd just rip huge holes in it!

This week, my friend Lindsey was hosting a baby shower in Fort Worth.  They were ordering some mini bundt cakes and wanted some toppers to match the invites, so I came up with this collection:

And I also made some cookies (bibs, bottles, carriages, and onesies) to match the colors:

Yesterday Leighton's class had a bowling party that they won for being the top selling Kindergarten class in a fundraiser at the school.  I offered to make the cupcakes.  I did some bowling ones and some with little t shirts to match their class shirt.

Yesterday was also Leighton's birthday party, but I will save that for a separate post!!
