The weekend before Easter (and the weekend before and after that, too!), there were MANY Easter egg hunts around the city. We made it to one and met up with Pauline and the boys there.
We got there right at the start, expecting that the hunt would happen early, but there was an hour of snacks, treats, crafts, and activities first.
There was even a visit from the Easter Bunny. Our two scaredy-cats survived the encounter and even accepted a treat from the bunny. I think the fact that you could see her face helped them feel more comfortable. Or maybe it was just the offering of chocolate!
Then it was hunting time! They had different areas for different ages - and in our group we needed to go to three separate areas. Luckily it worked out that Roy could take the two older boys, I took Riley & Noah, and Pauline took Elias.
And after that, an egg toss. I thought the eggs were hard boiled. I was wrong ;)

At least only a little got on Leighton's hands, and Riley bowed out once she saw what could happen after she saw one smash on the ground!
