A few new house repair photos

Things are moving along quickly at the house!

The walls are almost all back up, and the cabinets are starting to be built today.  In the time I was there for about 45 minutes today, I couldn't believe how much he got done!

There have been lots of inspections done - and passed!  There were a couple things that the plumbing inspector was requiring them to do to bring old stuff up to code, so they are just finishing that up.  It is nice that all of the electrical and plumbing and insulation will now be brand new, but at the same time, the flood insurance money is intended to cover what was lost to be replaced.  However, no inspector will let you pass inspections without now bringing EVERYTHING up to code.  Kind of an annoying situation!  We've heard that others have gotten there homeowners insurance to cover those things.  Luckily our contractors have been really great to work with and are just fixing everything as quickly as they can for us.

Monday we have an inspection from our mortgage company so they can see the progress and release more money.

Here are a few recent photos:

  1. It's good to have everything up to code. It certainly looks like things are moving right along.
