CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Game

Leighton's favorite athlete is Alex Morgan.  We asked him a while ago if he could shoot hoops with James Harden, shoot goals with Alex Morgan, throw a football with the players from the Seahawks, or play catch with some Astros who he would choose to spend time with, and without hesitation it was Alex Morgan. 

When I found out from my friend Kim that the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying was happening here and in Dallas, I couldn't wait to get tickets to hopefully have Leighton see her play!  We lucked out and the USA played CANADA in the finals in Houston, so we got to see the amazing players from both teams play!  Leighton was SO excited he was almost silent a lot of the time. 

The weather was fantastic for an early evening outside in February.  The crowd was really supportive and family friendly and excited.  And to make Leighton the happiest boy ever, the USA won.  Both teams did qualify to go through to the Olympics though, so that made the American and Canadian sides of us all very happy!
