The latest with the house

I've been stopping in every few days to see the progress with the house.  Right now it's a lot of behind the scenes work - plumbing, electrical, insulation, inspections, etc.  But the walls are going up in lots of rooms, and the cabinets should be starting to get built soon, too!

Here are some photos from the last couple weeks ...

  1. This is so exciting. The pantry configuration will be terrific. Will the original door remain so there will be 2 doors?

    1. No the old door will be gone! There will be a sliding barn door on the wall that faces where the table goes. That way we don't need to worry about a door opening in or out, and it will give more shelving space. And I just love barn doors :)

  2. The barn door is a great idea. I figured you would take out the other door to provide more shelving space, but then I wondered if it made sense to leave it for ease of putting groceries away.
