A day at a play

We go to a lot of sporting events, but I'm always on the lookout for more kid-friendly (and wallet-friendly!) plays and art and music events to take the kids to.  I spotted some tickets for a community theater group performing a Romona Quimsby play for $5 each and figured it would be a fun afternoon event.

It lasted WAY longer than advertised, but it was ok because the kids were loving it, snacks and water bottles from home were allowed, AND Daddy treated them to a FULL SIZE (their first ever, Leighton had informed us ... like they are so deprived of chocolate and sugary treats in their lives!) chocolate bar of their choice form the concession!

To make it even better, Riley's name was drawn for one of the two door prizes at intermission!  She won a basket of goodies.
