Grandma and Papa's Spring Visit

We were very lucky to have Grandma and Papa come for a visit in May.  We were able to share a lot of fun end of school year events, some swimming and other activities, and some yummy meals out with them!  We even went to lunch twice just us four adults and to the museum together!

They got to see both kids' last soccer games.

We went swimming on one hot afternoon:

Roy and I went out with friends one night with they babysat!

We went to a place called Smither Park, by the same organization that does the Art Car parade.  Other than the ridiculous amount of dog poop and free-roaming dogs, it was a really cool place.  We spoke with one of the artists who said they are aiming to be done this August, but I can't imagine how they will finish all that work by then!

Afterward we went to Villa Arcos for breakfast tacos.

And to House of Pies for dessert!

Riley did Grandma's hair in pony tails all by herself!

One night Leighton had his Honors Night ceremony:

And next he had his orchestra performance:

And one afternoon was his Awards Day:

We went to a Dash game one night.  They played Orlando, so we saw our favorite, Alex Morgan!

And the zoo one morning:

Riley had her big ballet performance:

We went to Grimaldi's for dinner that night to finish off a fun visit!

  2. Looks like a really fun visit. If Alan and I ever come to Houston we will have to go to House of Pies! And Grandma Ellen has found a new hair style.
