NFL Live

Today we spent many hours at Discovery Green for NFL Live.  We had been looking at the NFL Experience inside the convention center, but the tickets were pricey, and for the four of us plus parking/train and concession food inside, it added up to be more than we really wanted to spend.  There ended up being plenty to keep us entertained at the NFL Live that Leighton wasn't sad to not go inside at all!  Phew!

Our first stop was the nap mobile!

I had seen pictures online of people with these 'picture frames' yesterday, so made sure to get a picture of us all together with one.

Next up were all the helmets.  I had seen them on a clip on the news last night and hoped they'd be accessible without needing a ticket.  Leighton was SO excited to see them and asked for a picture next to each other them!

We wandered around for a while ...

And spent some time in the NASA section ...

Then we went into the Houston Live section, where they had local food, beer, music, and sections devoted to Oil & Gas and the Medical Center.  There were also some football helmets decorated by local artists that spelled out HTX.

We got hungry and sampled some food truck deliciousness and then met up with Clyde and Melinda and Azeliya at the Ford section.  We waited in line and Roy and the kids each kicked a field goal.  Leighton's kick was really impressive, and we were really proud of Riley for doing it in front of everyone because she was a bit nervous.  Roy scored!

We spent a long time inside the store looking at autographed items and took a few more photos.

Then it was time to head home!  Ready for the big game next weekend!
