NYC Day 3

We got up in the morning and had a few hours to spend with Roy in the city before Therese was picking us up.  We had wanted to take the kids to Central Park and there were a few more things we wanted to eat!

For breakfast the kids requested the same as the day before.  Street cart!  Roy and I really wanted the deli breakfast bagels we used to love.  Roy got bacon, egg, and cheese, and I got cream cheese and tomato.  We ate as we walked to Central Park.

As we entered the park, we heard the Zoo clock!  I only ever heard it one time before and the kids never had, so was so happy with our timing!

The kids climbed rocks, ran down hills, played at the playground (where Leighton has had first ever swing ride!!), threw leaves, and saw the boat pond.

Then it was time for another subway ride!  We went down to SoHo, Little Italy, and Chinatown.  The kids had another slice of pizza for lunch.  Roy and I weren't super hungry since we ate giant breakfast sandwiches, but I HAD to have dumplings from my favorite place!  We shared a few and the sesame pancake with beef.  And then one last taste for the day at Rice to Riches.

And one last subway ride!

Wen went back to the hotel and checked out and waited for Therese to come get us!  When we got out to the Bronx, we dropped Roy off so he could go to his old building to say hi to any colleagues who were there.  Therese and I took the kids for a tour of the neighborhood so they could see all the places we used to go and our old house!  We took them to the playground (where Riley went on her very first swing!) for a bit before meeting Roy and getting Luis for dinner.

We had pizza for dinner - of course!
