Name That Book - Leighton

In 2nd Grade, Leighton was on the younger kids' Name That Book team at the school, but 3rd graders weren't invited onto the bigger kids' team last year.  This year our new librarian opened the teams up to all K-2 and 3-5 kids.  Leighton made his team and was the captain again.  I helped out with the practices and enjoyed getting to know the kids.  His team did super well at the competition - they placed 3rd out of the 10 schools they competed against.  We were so impressed with how they did.  They had to know 30 books - and 25 were long chapter books!

I made them some Name that Book cookies :)
