2018 Destin, FL road trip - Day 1

Last summer when we went to Destin, we loved it so much that we decided we needed to repeat the trip this year!  We planned to do the trip relatively the same but made a couple changes and added a little bit to it.

Our first day, we left in the late afternoon and drove to New Iberia.  We had loved the restaurant we ate at and the hotel we stayed at with Grandma and Papa in May, so we decided to make that our first stop of the trip.  It helped that this meant we could avoid Baton Rouge (that bridge traffic can be crazy!).  Riley was so tired from her sleepover the night before that she slept most of the way ... she did wake up for a treat when we got gas!

We saw a double rainbow after dinner - amazing since we saw rainbows on the drive with Grandma and Papa in May, too!
