Just as we were packing up in the afternoon, Sarah and Micah walked to find us from where they were staying on the beach. The kids walked back with them along the beach while Roy and I got our stuff all packed back to the room. We then went to meet them for a bit more beach time and some drinks.
We walked back to the hotel (Roy carried Leighton the whole way - insane!) and got ready to drive to meet them for dinner right in Destin at a place called Harry T's. It's a lovely spot right on the water, but we got there right at dark so missed the sunset views and the traffic and parking weren't ideal. The kids enjoyed having dinner with friends and watching the Mardi Gras parade though!
