Cultural Fair

Leighton's school put on a Cultural Fair close to the end of the year.  Each grade studied a different country (chosen based on the 6 most represented countries in the school population), and Kindergarten was assigned Mexico.  Each of the 6 classes then studied a different part of the country's heritage and culture.  Leighton's class studied goods and services, so when we went in, we were given some pesos to purchase a sombrero, a bracelet, and a 'clay' bowl.

  1. Wonderful! I guess Zambia or Canada aren't well represented at Lovett. But there is no shortage of beautiful children and clever, creative activities.

    1. Lol - no Canada or Zambia! Although there were three Canadians in Leighton's class this year! I can't remember the 6 countries, but I was surprised at a couple.
