Oct 2014 summary

I had posted about the first half of October already, but here is a quick look at the rest of the month ...

Riley did some train construction:

I went to see Oprah with Jenny, Kim, and Lindsey:

 Leighton had a fever the day his birthday party was scheduled, so we had to cancel the big bowling bash.  I had already made the cookies to give as favors, so we drove all over town delivering them to pass the time in the afternoon!

Clyde and Melinda were here visiting for his actual birthday, so that was a special treat.  He wanted to continue with the sports theme for his cupcakes for his class so I made these for him to take.  And he chose apple pie as his dessert at home that night.  Minion movies were VERY high on his wish list.

The next day I went on his field trip with him and then at night, Joshua came with us for a 'big boy birthday party' and we took the kids for burgers and then home for a late night of movie watching and treats.  He loved his make-up birthday celebration and has said he wants that again this year instead of a party!

And then I got to work on Halloween costumes!  Leighton wanted to be a bag of marshmallows and Riley wanted to be a pink flower.  These are the costumes I made:
