During dinner, Leighton heard a song and said, "Is that a Michael Jackson song?" and Roy told him it wasn't. After a few minutes he said, I know - it could be 'Just Eat It' instead of 'Just Beat It'.

I took the kids out for burgers for dinner. Leighton decided he'd be brave and taste ketchup. He dipped his finger in and said, "Mmmm. Now I know why Riley likes it!" Then he decided to be even more brave and dip a french fry in it. After tasting it, he said, "Ewwwww. It tastes like fruit! It's not good with french fries!"

Riley was asking me what I thought Lindsey's baby was doing in her belly right then. We were talking about all the different possibilities, and then Leighton asked something that prompted me to explain about amniotic fluid. He then asked, "So now that you aren't pregnant with me or Riley, do you still have patriotic liquid in your tummy?" Luckily I had just gotten to a red light because I was laughing so hard as I told him it was amniotic fluid and not patriotic liquid.

I was helping Leighton organize the stickers for his World Cup sticker album and did it in numerical order. When I told him I had done it that way, he asked what numerical order was. I asked him if he knew what alphabetical order was, and of course he did and gave a good explanation of that. So then I asked him what he thought numerical might be referring to since alphabetical was referring to the alphabet. He says, "An American one?"

Riley called TX the lonely star state.

Riley was watching Superwhy on TV with Roy. The message of the day was, 'Give to Others'. Riley turned to Roy with a confused look on her face and asked, "Give to lovers?" Roy said he choked on his coffee from laughing.

Today Riley told me something made her heart laugh. It made me remember the time that Leighton was in the cart at Costco when we lived in NY and I tried on a pair of PJ pants over top of my jeans, and he told me, "Mommy that makes my heart laugh!" Amazing they both said the same phrase, when I don't think it is something we ever say!

We were looking for pictures to get printed, and Riley asked for one in HD. Apparently she watches a little bit of TV and sees commercials, lol. Funny thing is that our TV is far too ancient for anything to be in HD!
Nov 18
Leighton has been talking about calluses a lot because he got one on his finger from violin. Today he called it a calculus instead of a callus!
Nov 23
Today Riley told me she broke one of her muscles.
Nov 27
Leighton said, "Crocs and socks rhyme, so why don't they go together?"
Nov 27
Riley reached into the video slot on our TV (yes ,we have an old and ancient and giant TV that has a VCR built right in!) and looked in and said, "It's so cool, Leighton, you can see the engine!"
Nov 29
Riley called herself the little sister violin-er when Leighton was practicing his violin and she was 'practicing' on an old and broken ukelele.
