Miracles do happen!

Riley can fall asleep on her own.  Without me.  All by herself.  Although, after doing so one time, she has shown zero interest in a repeat performance!  Oh well.  One day!

This picture is of her last week when Leighton and I went in to wake her up after her exciting fall-asleep-all-by-herself nap.  She had napped late, so we had to wake her up to try to make sure that bedtime wasn't stretched too late!  I always take the opportunity to take pictures of the kids sleeping when we have to wake them up for something.  I never want to risk it any other time in case I wake them up!

And Leighton wanted a picture of him with Riley sleeping.  He has become quite the little poser for photos.  funny kid!

And, yes, Riley slept through this whole photo taking event.  Why she can't sleep this well all night long is my question!

And, yes, both kids are in their pajamas in the late afternoon.  It was thunderstorming and we were stuck inside and lazy!

Leighton and I took the opportunity to do some baking for afternoon snack while we were inside in our jammies with Riley napped.  We made some applesauce oatmeal muffins.  It was a combination of a few recipes I found online, but I don't even remember what I ended up doing so I can't share.  Or recreate them!  They were tasty though.  Next time I promise not to wait so long before posting so I can remember the recipe.
