Backyard play date

A few weeks ago, we met Naomi and Naomi's daughter, Hannah (3).  As soon as Naomi found out we had lived in Calgary and were most recently living in NYC, she put me in touch with her friend Talia because she is originally from Calgary, is currently living here, and is moving to NYC in the summer.  Funny to meet someone who has, is, and will be living in the same cities as us! 

Talia and her husband Matt went on a house-hunting trip in NJ and Westchester County a couple weekends ago and I tried to offer as much information and advice as I could about the various neighborhoods/cities, schools, religious communities, etc.  They were already in pretty good hands with their realtors though, so not sure I offered much that was new, but I hope I helped in some way.

I suggested that she come over with her 2 kids (Naomi and Jonah) so we could meet in person and invited Naomi and Hannah as well as Douniazed, Zayne, and Soraya.  It was a fun group play date in our yard.  The kids had fun in the sandbox and on the bouncy castle and the moms got a few moments here and there to chat!  Our yard offers so much shade that it wasn't overly hot and the new grass makes it so much more comfortable to walk and sit on.  We always loved having friends over to play in the yard in the Bronx, so are happy to have made some new friends to invite over here.
