Seriously. I couldn't make stuff like this up if I tried!
That is what it's like to live with a science nerd, in case anyone is wondering!
And, what better way to celebrate the cerebellum having all of its cells now? You know, because coordination and movements are going to be smoother? Give the kid a hammer while your fingers are pretty close by, of course!
The kid must have one heck of a cerebellum. No fingers, his or Daddy's, were harmed in the making of this blog post!
Can't say the same for Riley's lip though. She didn't get hit with a hammer, don't worry. Just my knee and her teeth as she dove for a book under my legs. It was bloody tonight (Leighton wouldn't even kiss her goodnight on the lips for fear of getting blood on his own!) but I hope it isn't swollen tomorrow, poor thing.
**A little FYI about the ice cream truck - it was a kit we got at a Lowe's Build and Grow event today. Lots of kids were hammering away with their parents in the store, but we brought ours home. The kits came with the wooden pieces, nails, and stickers. They even gave each kid an apron, goggles, and a badge to iron onto the apron for this ice cream truck build event. Leighton was not keen to iron his on. He wants to have it to play with. Luckily Riley doesn't have a say in the matter and I can iron hers on. Thanks, Lowe's! You've made the big kid happy because he finally got to build something with Daddy, you made the little kid happy because she has the exact same toy as her big brother, and you made the Mommy happy because the Girl Guides deprived badge seeker in her gets to start collecting badges and ironing them on when
Now where is the real ice cream truck? Sounds like a good reason to celebrate when your cerebellum is done growing. Now, the question is, at what age to you start losing cerebellum cells...or any brain cells...or do they just become inactive?
ReplyDeleteYay Leighton for being good with the hammer. I hammered a picture hanger this morning and managed to get it in fairly straight without injuring myself or the wall.
We saw the real ice cream truck at the park when we were here in Jan looking for a house, but I haven't seen one since!
