On Monday, Marble Slab Creamery was celebrating their 30th anniversary with 30cent ice cream. THIRTY cents, people!
And It was a super sunny spring day. As you can probably imagine, I did not need much convincing that I should take the kids after school for a little ice cream treat. Because really, it would be rude to not accept this invitation to celebrate with them. Right? You know who else didn't need much convincing? Naomi. When I emailed her last minute to see if she wanted to join us, she replied pretty quickly. I love that she is always willing to be my partner in crime when it comes to ice cream (Leighton counted that we've met them at 4 places for ice cream ... well, he actually told me I was wrong when I said 4 because he counted the two Menchie's locations as frozen yogurt and not ice cream. Could he be any more technical?!?!)! Leighton also required very little convincing when he was asking to play at Laila's and I mentioned that I already had this little plan instead. I could have EASILY been convinced to go again after dinner ;)
I am super jealous (of the ice cream, doesn't matter that it only cost 97 cents).

DeleteI should have used the opportunity to treat you guys. :) I never need convincing for ice cream, but I DO love being with you any time. Free cone day tomorrow at Ben & Jerry's, right? I may go after lunch with H. Nothing cures sickness like ice cream. Is that terrible???
