Stay-cation

That is exactly how we felt last night when we went for a walk for ice cream after dinner.

It was warm and sunny.
There were palm trees blowing in the breeze.
I was in sandals.
We were heading for ice cream.
And the kids were up past their usual bath & bedtime for the adventure.

It really felt like a vacation (Leighton commented on it, too, and said it felt like we were spending a night away in a hotel).  But, we were only a 10 minute walk from home (more if you are walking with the kids who get things in their shoes and/or need to stop to pick a flower weed and/or need to be able to see Daddy better ... less if the kids make you run to race each other on the way home).  So, a stay-cation!

Have I mentioned I love living in Texas?
