One day in November, Roy and Leighton had an afternoon adventure on the subway into Manhattan for an appointment at the Canadian Consulate to deliver our applications for Leighton and Riley's citizenship cards. They arrived in the mail on Friday, and when I showed them to Leighton, he asked a bunch of questions about how that card made him Canadian since he already was. I tried (likely unsuccessfully) to explain about how we've always said he's Canadian since Mommy and Daddy are but this is now official. His reply - "Oh, so now I am DOUBLY Canadian!"
In other citizenship news, we've just gotten word of our interview for Roy's Green Card application as well!
