We were watching the news on the weekend and they were saying that we should be expecting freezing temperatures overnight on Wednesday/Thursday and that there was also precipitation forecasted. You put those two things together, and you might just get SNOW. Yes! Snow! Here in Houston. I have been pretty giddy at the (total long shot) possibility ever since, even though I know it will never happen.
I was just checking the weather forecast for the rest of the week, and now it looks like Friday might give us a little freezing drizzle. That is a much more likely possibility than actual snow, but I am just going to focus on that little snowflake under than grey cloud and cross my fingers! And you can bet I will be watching the hourly forecast to see when and if it will actually happen. I am sure it will just end up being a cold and rainy day with nothing out of the ordinary. But, if I see any snowflakes, I will have a hard time not rushing to the school to get Leighton to come outside with us! I know it would never amount to anything on the ground, obviously, and if anything, it would probably be one sad and sloppy flake that was falling amongst the rain, but the kids ask for snow so often that I really would love them to see and feel it again even for a moment!

Ummm, I know where you can bring Leighton and Riley to get the total snow experience (ahem). We had a little dusting overnight after not having any new snow for the past week. Driveways and walkways were getting very slick as our temperatures have been hovering around -1 C most days. If you are going to have rain and cold, be careful walking/driving.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could eliminate the cost and travel logistics, we'd be there enjoying your snow!!!
