Today while we (read: Roy) were outside doing some yard work and the kids were playing, Leighton asked to have his training wheels taken off his bike. Roy helped him a little in the driveway (the video is on the very first training wheel free ride!) and we will take him somewhere with a bit more space to work on it soon! He got his bike almost two years ago and hasn't ever really totally gotten into riding, but Riley LOVES riding her bike. He is getting pretty big for his bike and definitely is old/strong/coordinated/balanced enough to learn without the training wheels, so we will work on that and then shop for a bigger bike for our growing boy!

Hooray for Leighton! That's a big move (and angst-filled for Mommy and Daddy until he is able to do it confidently on his own).
ReplyDeleteNot to angst filled for Mommy - this can be Daddy's territory!
