Tutu to the zoo

Yesterday was a school holiday and the weather forecast was amazing, so I contacted all our friends to see who was free and to see what they were up to.  After many emails, we settled on a plan to meet Samantha and Ava at the zoo in the morning and to meet up with a big group at Willow Park in the afternoon.

When we arrived at the zoo, Ava excitedly gifted a very colorful tutu dress and a Christmas ring to Riley and a seed from her yard to Leighton.  As you can imagine, Riley was beyond excited and couldn't wait another moment to get that tutu on.  And, so, Riley wore the tutu at the zoo.  For 3 hours straight.  Even while she brushed the goats and rode the carousel!  It made her very easy to keep track of, that's for sure!  She did hand over the ring from time to time because she was worried about losing it.  Sadly, Leighton lost his seed.  He is still disappointed about this and has been promised another one when we go to their place to jump on the trampoline one day soon!

Just like the morning, the weather for the playground in the afternoon was spectacular.  One of those days that makes me SO pleased that we live so far south in January!  And we met up with such a fun group of friends, which made it even better.  Lindsey brought the kids, and there were 6 or 7 Kindergarten families from Leighton's school this year.  And then Angie brought Mylen & Mykai over, and it was fun to see them at this playground since it is right by the school that Mylen and Leighton went to last year and we played with them so many times there!  I had great intentions of getting lots of pictures of all the kids, but kept forgetting while we were all talking and playing, so I didn't manage to get a picture of everyone.  I did get some cute shots though.
