Look at this bicycle tire!

On Saturday afternoon, Pauline and Mikkel decided they needed to kick their kids outside for fresh air and activity to tire them out and the kids requested the pleasure of their friends' company.  So, we headed over for some outside playtime.  I didn't have enough notice to bake anything, but I grabbed some packaged snacks form the pantry and off we went (well, off Leighton & I went by foot and then Roy & Riley drove over to meet us there after Riley's much anticipated trip to Lowe's to buy some seeds for planting).  Mikkel went for a quick beer and juice box run, and we were set for a few hours of backyard/driveway fun.  Amy & Jesus and the boys came over, too.

At one point, Riley asked Mikkel to pump up the flat tires on the balance bike.  A few minutes later, she was off to ride and ended up flipping over the bike head first.  We all rushed over and luckily she only scraped her hands minimally.  We were confused for a brief moment because the way she flipped was so odd and we didn't see anything in her way that she would have hit.  And then we looked at the tire.  The tube had burst right through creating a big bubble!  Leighton investigated for a while trying to figure it all out!  Pauline took some pictures and contacted the company and they are receiving great customer service about the situation, by the way.
