Festival season

There are loads of festivals here in the fall and spring (it's too hot in the summer!), and although we haven't made it to many, we hope to continue to try out different ones each season.

This year, we went to the Houston Hot Sauce Festival for the first time.  Roy and I tasted some yummy sauces and salsas, and the kids collected a few treasures and played some games.  We'd definitely like to go back again.

The weather that day was lovely, but the ground was super soggy and messy from all the rain the days before.  Next year we will think ahead to wear better footwear!   Or bring more cloths for cleaning feet!

Our neighborhood community association is celebrating 60yrs and had an extra special festival a few weeks ago.  Again, the kids played some games and got many little treasures, and we sampled some yummy treats.

Leighton's school carnival is coming up shortly, and we hope to make it to Via Colori again this year (we were rained out last year!).
