Today Riley was in the bathroom gabbing away and all of a sudden she shouts out the first and last name of a boy in her class in a sing songy voice. It made me laugh so hard. The teachers call the kids by their first and last names a lot at school, so she has picked up in and I don't think she even knows what the first name only of most of her classmates is!

I was laying on the floor with Riley and was telling her how exhausted I was. She said, "Mommy, you very tired. Making all those cakes. When your mixer is mixing, you can rest your head on the counter and drink some water."

I was offering to bring Riley some egg and clementine in the car to top her up before school, and she said, "Egg AND clementine in the car? No, that will make me too fullerish."
Sept 14
Leighton has coined the phrase 'cra-nachos'. He likes cheese melted onto crackers and calls them cra-nachos!
Sept 15
Leighton was bathing and was telling me, "I'm washing my bladder," as he scrubbed his belly.
Sept 17
Riley is mildly obsessed with brushing hair. Today she said something to leighton about brushing his 'furs' and then all of a sudden says, "Hey! Where are all your furs?" We had to tell her to flip the arm over to the other side to see all the 'furs'.
Sept 18
Today we were volunteering in Leighton's art class at school and the teacher showed a little video clip on the SMARTboard. Several of the kids were laughing and commenting, and Riley says to me, "In MY class we raise our hands NOT our voice."
Sept 19
Today we were talking about cleaning ears, and Leighton said, "Well, while you go get the cupid or whatever it's called …" Q-Tip, Leighton, not cupid!
