A few weeks ago, I went with Roy to one of his Department Chair's houses for dinner while a job candidate was in town. Even though it was a casual meal at their house, I couldn't for the life of me decide what to wear (I know - shocking - me being indecisive!). I had it in my head I wanted to look like a grown up professor's wife, whatever that is (yes, you can giggle at me now!). I finally found an outfit I was happy with and decided to wear my Grandma's pearls. I wore them when we got married, and when she passed away they were given to me. I was so happy to wear them, and they definitely made me feel like a grown up!
One Sunday night in mid August, Monica hosted a thirty-one party, and although I was fairly certain I was going to be good and not spend any money, I wanted to go for the social part of it! A picture was taken of the group of us, but I don't have it :(
In the summer, I met Samantha for dinner in Rice Village one night …
And Roy & I met up with Pauline & Mikkel for dinner on my birthday …
Right before school was out last year, I met up with some mommies for brunch …
And earlier in the spring, Roy & I went to the school's auction fundraiser …
Lindsey and I have gone to a couple movies, but we never take a picture of ourselves sitting and sipping our cocktails/wine while enjoying the show!
