Giant BUGS!

There was a special exhibit of giant bugs at the zoo this summer (like the dinosaurs a couple years ago),  and the kids kept asking to go, but I kept waiting until we were there with Roy since a. we had to pay so we were only doing it once as a family and b. I *knew* Leighton would get scared and possibly need to be carried!  Leighton assured me many, many, MANY times he wouldn't get scared.  Uh huh.  Sure, buddy.

And now we are in bug territory.  As predicted, Leighton was scared right away.  He settled in a little after a bit, but we still rushed past most of the bugs!  I tried to snap quick pictures with my phone as we zoomed by, but lots are pretty blurry - and without the kid in the photo, it's hard to tell just how giant these bugs were!  

Nobody was scared of the stamps. Phew.
