We spent the morning playing with Jenny, Palmer, and Fiona at their house. I didn't take any pictures, but I can guarantee you the kids all had fun :) And Riley and Leighton ate almost all of Jenny's zucchini bread and begged me to bake some chocolate zucchini muffins soon.
Tuesday
We met up with Monica, Jenny, Kim, and Jill and all the kids for a magic show at a comedy club not too far away. Kim had found it on Living Social or Groupon, and we were excited to be able to take advantage of the deal. The magician was a little rough around the edges, but the kids all loved it!
After, we went to IKEA for our last free summer lunch and art. At first we thought the art wasn't happening, but then we found them in a totally different place than usual and joined in.

| Riley is working hard on writing her name. She only needs help with the 'y' - she does the rest all on her own! |

| This is Riley's kitty cat. I love her round ears floating above the head! |

Wednesday
We went to HEB for the last story time of the summer, and enjoyed a tour of the store with samples and a visit from HEBuddy. My two didn't even freak out!

In the afternoon, Anne, Grace, and Sam came to swim.
Thursday
In the morning, Jenny brought the kids over to swim. It was a hot morning, so perfect to spend it in the pool!
Friday
I can't remember what we did!!
Saturday
We finally made it to the beach this summer! We went back to the same beach in Galveston as last summer - Stewart's Beach. We had considered somewhere new (Surf Side), but having the showers and bathrooms at Stewart's was a bonus. There was SO much seaweed on the shore, but the kids totally didn't care and we had a really fun day.
Being at the beach really felt like we were on another vacation. We decided to keep the vacation feeling going and went out for dinner. We went to Red Robin, which we haven't eaten at in years! The kids were excited to have milkshakes, and Roy & I were keen to have onion rings!
We also FINALLY stopped being lazy and made a switch to Riley's bed. She loved her crib and had no complaints being in there, but she's almost 4 and HEAVY! So, it makes MUCH more sense for her to get in and out herself. For now we just converted it to a day bed, but we will get her a big girl bed at some point. She loves it how it is and fits fine, so we aren't in a huge rush (yay - get to keep being lazy!)
Sunday
We went out to Siena Plantation to see Angie and Horatio's new house and to celebrate Mylen's birthday. I have some photos and videos to be shared in another post.

Wow big girl Riley...writing her name and out of the crib.
