In the morning, we had Leighton's last basketball game, and then we went swimming at the Y pool with some of his teammates afterward.
We went out for dinner at the downtown Nikos Niko's because for our anniversaries we usually like to have Greek food (because when we first started dating and for the rest of our time in Vancouver, we often ate at Cristos on special occasions and with groups of friends) or Indian food (because that is what we served at our wedding - catered by Moti Mahal). We ate some yummy food and the kids had a lot of fun taking pictures with Roy's camera.
Here are some pictures from my camera, too:
From here, we took advantage of the kids still adjusting to this time zone and kept them up a little but late to go see the Waugh Bridge Bat Colony at sunset. We had hoped to make it last summer but never did, so we were glad to finally make it. It was really amazing how many bats emerged and the way they flew off together in a long, winding line for miles and miles. It was pretty stinky there though!!!

Happy anniversary! Looks like lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Naomi!
DeleteGreat shots by all the family photographers. I am not a fan of bats, but this would be interesting to see.
ReplyDeleteAnd happy anniversary from us too...hard to believe it has been 11 years.
I wouldn't call myself a fan of bats, either - but it's worth it to see this!
