My sister and I both thought that it would be a good idea to do a full turkey dinner while we were all together because we hadn't been together for Christmas in many years and my sister doesn't get the full meal deal in Croatia. She then came up with the idea to do a little secret santa gift exchange of a gift that represented where the gift giver was from since we were all coming from such different places (2 places in Canada, Croatia, Texas, Seattle, and Pennsylvania).
Christmas in summer is VERY different than Christmas in December at my parents'. For example …
You don't usually start the day by smashing your own homemade raspberry jam from raspberries you picked yourself the day before!
And you usually don't wear a skirt and t shirt to play bubbles in the yard.
Or badminton (by the way look at Leighton's little muscles - when did my baby get big enough to have muscle definition?!?!?).
Or pick flowers.
Or set up an office in the woods to do stickers and art.
Or go to the beach (by the way, look at my baby laying on her towel swinging her legs like a teenager. When did my baby get so big?)!
But there is usually wine. Just not on the porch …
… while Grandma waters flowers!
But there is usually waiting patiently ….
… for Kevin to finish dishes!
Kidding, Kev!
The waiting patiently is usually for the pumpkin pie!
and presents!
Merry Christmas in

I must have been chained to the kitchen...I never saw the "office" outside with the stickers. And I know I never made it to the beach that day. It was definitely tons of fun though.
