Leighton's first day of violin

In 1st Grade, the students need to choose between Band, Orchestra, and Choral Music.  Leighton had always planned on choosing Orchestra so he could play the violin and be with the teacher he knows and likes, but during the first 2 weeks of school when they were able to try out all the classes, he almost decided on Band instead.  In the end, he stuck with his initial decision and off we went to rent him a violin and get him a music stand and the other assorted necessities.  He was so excited to show us what he learned when he got home after his first class playing it.

He now plays standing up! He also love to write his own songs and was proud to pass his first test this week.
